Product description

Finnish design - Our familiar designer Lauri Lumme tweaked the shape so the VMK25 catches less wind and works better for any kind of exercise. We don't think headphones need to glow in the dark or blink at you, so we tucked both status LEDs on the inside of the cup. That way you can be confident nobody'll spot you sneaking around with the VMK25s on. We also made the side panels swappable, which makes them way easier to keep clean, mod yourself, and rotate to match whatever's trending on TikTok this week. If you've got a 3D printer, you can download the files for printing your own covers here, free.

Ergonomics and build - The repositioned size adjustment gives you more travel than before (good news if your head is unusually large or unusually small). The build is sturdier and more solid across the board, with a lovely soft-touch coating. The fit feels tighter, the materials a bit more believably premium, the ear cups a touch roomier, and the frame even more durable.

Even better sound quality - The VMK20 already racked up plenty of praise among the golden-ear crowd. The new (bigger and better) drivers unlock top-tier sound. Our audio guru Jasse "Jazmanaut" Kesti couldn't believe his ears when he got to tune these. The sound profile is the familiar studio-neutral one, polished and dialed in by our audio guru Jasse "Jazmanaut" Kesti. Music sounds like it was meant to sound when they sweated over mixing and mastering it in the studio. The "sound-w*nker" title is well earned!

Excellent noise cancelling - A completely new ANC chipset suppresses background noise even more effectively than before. ANC now also includes transparency mode, which we personally think is dumb but customers asked for it. Press a button and the headphones use the ANC mics to let outside sound through. Is that, like, anti-noise-cancelling? It's actually handy for hearing announcements or eavesdropping on the people next to you, who think you're blasting Sebuldura full volume. Ha-ha!

Official Apocalyptica collaboration

This isn't a sticker someone slapped on the headphones after the fact. The Apocalyptica edition is an official, licensed collaboration. Properly designed, not just splatted on the lid. Finnish ANC carrying the name of a band for whom combining metal and cello was once about as radical an idea as proper headphones without the celebrity-marketing surcharge. If you want headphones that look like they belong next to your record shelf, not in an office meeting room, these are the ones.

Don't take our word for it. Take theirs.

We could tell you how great we are, but that would be a bit suspicious. So we'll let our customers do the talking instead. Reviews are real. Not every product has enough reviews yet, but the ones that do show up first. Photos are taken by customers themselves, and unfortunately it shows.

SQUARE_Apocalyptica - VALCO

Hear the cellos the way they were meant to be heard!

Alright! So we wanted to do a collab with Finland's own Valco, because their whole vibe lines up with the same values and ambitions we've always (well, most of the time) carried in Apocalyptica too. Which is to say: top-shelf quality meets self-irony, because you've gotta have a twinkle in the eye. If you don't, it's no fun. And it's gotta be fun!

Now get your skull filled with noise pollution courtesy of this limited run of antigravitational noise cancelling headphones, cooked up jointly by Valco and Apocalyptica!!!

For once, you can hear all the harrowing screeches and unsettling frequencies of the cellos the way they were meant to be heard: causing a tiny bit of pain, but an even greater amount of pleasure in the listening experience!

Great products without the dead weight*

Did you know that almost all the electronics inside headphones come from a handful of giants?

Everything else is just smoke and sales talk.

A small maker like Valco can use the exact same top-tier components as the famous mega-corporations stick in their pricier models.

We just don't have a thousand employees to feed, a Manhattan skyscraper to pay for, or a CEO with a private jet (yet).

Which is why we can give you the best bang-for-buck on the market.

And what happens after you've bought? Our customer service and Valco's in-house repair team make sure our products last. And if you fancy a change, you can trade your old Valcos back in to us. Try doing that anywhere else.

At the end of the day, the point of all this is simple. We sell headphones to fund our own Death Star, so we can rule the galaxy.
